• Join as a member, complete the form below and make a small contribution to our funds of 15€ per year and be kept informed of our work and future events through our newsletters and emails
• Become an ambassador – a more active role. Help us spread the word among local English speakers. Distribute information and publicity to English speaking groups, GPs, local Mairies etc.
• Become a Fundraiser and a Friend of CSF Haute-Vienne – Hold a coffee morning, book sale, sponsored walk, quiz night, awareness event on our behalf. We will provide you with publicity materials and put your event on our website and Facebook page.
• Become a Language Supporter – if you have a good level of French, and after becoming a member, support us by taking a one day induction course to understand our ethos, and the need for confidentiality and trust, and help our clients at medical appointments and with documentation. All of our Language Supporters are also Active Listeners.
• Become an Active Listener – help directly with clients by becoming an Active Listener. After an interview, and if selected, you attend a two day Initial Training Course with a follow-up training day online where you decide if the role is for you. If you do, there are 3 training days a year and the support of a buddy and the team. Our Active Listeners support clients on the telephone or face to face or on social messaging. You must be a member to be an Active Listener. Some of our Active Listeners are also Language Supporters.
