Friends Of Cancer Support France Haute-Vienne
From the very start of our association there have been many people and businesses and organisations that we call ‘Friends of Cancer Support France Haute-Vienne’ and have supported us in many different ways.
Businesses have been friends and supported us by donating money and time and also fundraising for us. Some businesses have supported us by having one of our donation boxes and encouraging their clients to donate. Other friends have given their expertise for free or for a minimal charge. While others enthusiastically support us by holding fundraising events and collecting donations for us.
We have friends that have used their knowledge and time to train our volunteers, especially in the early days of the association.
There are friends who were part of our volunteer team who have fund raised for us tirelessly in the past years
We have therefore decided, as an organisation, to recognise these friends and acknowledge their support and devotion to our cause. This recognition will take the form of presentation of a framed certificate and the inclusion of a brief description of why we have decided to award it for their efforts that will appear on this page.

SwapShop – Gwen, Ann and Harry
Gwen, along with her volunteers, arranges fundraising events for different charities throughout the year.
These take the form of a SwapShop. You bring something but you take something away – that’s the rule!
The events are held at La Ribiere Sud Camping, near Chalus, which is owned by Harry and Ann , who are also enthusiastic helpers for the charity events. Fundraising is by donations for tea, coffee and cake made and served by the great team of volunteers.
We would like to thank them for their continued support for us over the years.

Del, Jackie and Jodie – La Licorne Brasserie
Del, Jackie and Jodie have supported us for many years at their businesses.
They have been extremely generous with their donations and help to make all our fundraising events a massive success.
They have hosted many events for us and they have always been professional in their provision for us and have been enthusiastic ambassadors for our association.

Chloébelle’s Cakes and Bistro
Dee and Stef have hosted various fundraising activities for us and all always generous with their donations to us.
We have held very successful awareness events and Quiz Nights at Chloébelle’s .
The meals are always of excellent quality as is the service and the care from Dee and Steff and their staff.

Maple Tree Yoga
Jo and Dean Pratt own and run Maple Tree Yoga and they have supported us for some time.
Jo and her team hold Afternoon Tea events during the year and they run a raffle to collect donations for our association.

The ‘Friday Group’ Bussière-Poitevine – Friends of CSF Haute-Vienne
This enthusiastic group of people (and their spouses) have collected regularly for us over the past few years.
They are a hard-working and caring group who fundraise for us in memory of a dear friend who died of cancer.

These two lovely ladies have held barn sales in their barn for many years and work tirelessly for other charities as well.
They also support our charity as Supporting Members and will always help with and come to fundraising events. Thank you ladies.

Viv and Andrew Milne
Viv and Andrew were there at the start of Cancer Support France Haute-Vienne. They helped to devise a training programme for Active Listeners and gave there services free for many years.
They also offered advice and support for our bureau on many different subjects and worked tirelessly to give everyone the best support possible.

Bob designed and maintains our website and our exclusive email addresses.
He has provided a support system not only to the present but ever since his association with our charity.
Always there to help and provide updates and ideas and assist with IT matters outside of his brief as webmaster, such as leaflet design and awareness materials, since 2017.
We thank him for his support, advice and kindness over the years.
